Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Training in Achham Far-Western Nepal

We conducted a Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training program for mid-level health workers on 23rd and 24th April, 2025 at Bayalpata Hospital, Acham, Far western Province, Nepal, training was led by international experts. Aims to strengthen the capacity of health workers in diagnosing musculoskeletal injuries. Its an  essential skill and resources needed for this region where trauma is prevalent and access to specialized healthcare is limited.

Empowering Mid-Level Providers with Diagnostic Capabilities 

Goal to strengthen the capacity of MLPs who act as primary care provider at rural Nepal. Ultrasound can diagnose fractures, which will be key especially in rural areas where X-ray isn't readily available.
